16.13 miles. Boldon - Jarrow - Washington - Wardley - Fellgate - Boldon. Cloudy but dry. Gusty wind, 14C. A variation on our Washington Circuit, to call at friends (Peter and Joan).

19.98 Miles. Boldon Colliery - Whitburn - South Shields - Jarrow - Boldon Colliery.  Bright sunny day, but, with a cold wind from the North, so, a chilly 8C when we set out, warming to 12C, as the morning wore on. pleasant coffee stop at South Shields, Little Haven Minchellas.
