Sunday, 20th November 2022 15.66 miles.  Cycling. Boldon Colliery - Jarrow - Washington Village - Boldon Colliery. Started damp and grey, but, by coffee stop at Washington Village, blue sky and sunshine. Cold 7c, and, the ground is very wet, after several days of heavy rain. We did a slight variation on our normal route, since, rumour has it that parts of Bowes Railway path flooded and/or damaged by rain, so, we avoided that section. Two vintage 1947 Pensioners.   Monday, 14th November 2022 15.70 miles. Boldon Colliery - Washington Village - Jarrow - Boldon Colliery. Foggy at Boldon, but, Autumn sunshine at Washington Village, where we stopped for coffee,12c and calm. AKASO EK7000 Camera.  No coffee stop today, we are too early, coffee shop closed. Monday, 31st October 2022 12.37 miles. Boldon Colliery - Jarrow - South Shields - Boldon Colliery. Calm and mild 12C, damp, with some sunshine. Two Vintage 1947 Pensioners. AKASO EK7000 Camera. Not our most scenic route, but, mostly tarmac, which is preferable when the weather has been wet.

Tuesday, 18th October 2022 19.93 miles. Boldon Colliery - Whitburn - South Shields - Jarrow - Boldon Colliery.  Typical autumn morning, sunny with cloud, calm, and a cool 11c, rising to 13c. Two vintage 1947 pensioners. AKASO EK7000 camera. Lots of cyclists out, perhaps, grabbing the last mild and sunny day of the year? Saturday, 22nd October 2022 16.52 miles. Boldon Colliery - Jarrow - Washington Village - Boldon Colliery.   A rather damp and dull autumn morning. Stiff wind in our face for the first 7 miles, then, of course, we get to coast with the wind at our back. Slight disruption to our route because they have closed of a section at end of West Pastures, for no apparent reason. Two vintage 1947 pensioners. AKASO EK7000 Camera.

Boldon Colliery - Jarrow - Washington Village - Boldon Colliery.   Bright sunny day, with some cloud. Stiff, cold breeze from the North, but still 17c. Roads wet from previous rain, but, mild and not actually raining. Tuesday, 6th September 2022 15.93. Boldon Colliery - Jarrow - Washington Village - Boldon Colliery. Two vintage 1947 pensioners. AKASO EK7000 Camera. Warm (20c), sunny, when we left home. Coffee and sandwich at Washington Village. Clouded over and became very dark, just as we finished our coffee. Heavy rain, thunder and lightening for the eight miles home, we got rather wet.

Sunday, 28th August 2022 7.68  Miles. Boldon Colliery - East Boldon - West Boldon.     An early morning ride, so, only one vintage 1947 pensioner. Cool, dry and still, at 12c, borderline for an extra layer. My monthly target of 150 miles/month is looking doubtful, only 122.9miles done, leaving 27.1 to do, only 3 days to do it in. Wednesday, 31st August 2022 10.77 Miles. Haydon Bridge - Fourstones - Haydon Bridge. Two vintage 1947 Pensioners. AKASO EK7000 Camera. Cloudy and cool with slight breeze from the East. This was undulating with a capital "U"! Lots of fun downhill stretches, but, for every downhill stretch, there is an UP! Included a short section of NCN72 (on quiet road). Friday, 2nd September 2022 14.40 Miles. Haydon Bridge - Bardon Mill - Henshaw. Two vintage 1947 Pensioners. AKASO EK7000 Camera.    Sunny and warm, 20c, a breeze, from the East.We first follow a signed trail, but, that becomes an unrideable. So, plan B, follow the 'old road' through Haydon B

  Tuesday, 9th August 2022 22.06 miles. Misterton - Gainsborough - East Stockwith and return. Two vintage 1947 Pensioners. A sunny and hot day, 19C starting out, 25C on the return. This was meant to be a nice circular route, of about 15 miles, but, when we reached East Stockwith, there is no bridge, and, no ferry, to cross the River Trent. A passing cyclist told us, with some glee in his voice, that the next bridge was approximately 14 miles North, at Keadby, so, we retraced our route, via Gainsborough, fora 22 mile ride. Front Camera mount broke, so, video is a mixture of front camera and rear camera.  A productive outing, Walkerith, for the "W" in the Cyclechat ABC Villages and Towns Challenge. Kathleen, looking fresh as a daisy, little does she know what is to come. East Stockwith, and the bridge/ferry which isn't there. We just need to be to West Stockwith, on the opposite bank of the River Trent. But, our options are, cycling 14 miles along this side, to the next br

Byermoor - Tanfield - Quaking Houses - Chester-le-Street - Washington - Boldon Colliery.   One vintage 1947 Pensioner today.  AKASO EK7000 Camera.  Quite cool start, with a stiff breeze, which, thankfully, was mostly a tail wind. Some periods of sunshine, and, some cloudy periods. Not my usual cycle ride this. After booking Motorhome in at Tyne Valley Motorhomes, cycled to Quaking Houses, via Tanfield. All part of collecting the ABC of Town and Village Names, in Cyclechat. I used Cycle.Travel website for the route, which, was as usual very good, but, my Garmin went a bit "haywire", shortly after Quaking Houses, giving an poor message. From that point, my Navigation went a bit haywire. I did have the route split into two parts (ie Byermoor - Quaking Houses, then, Quaking Houses to Boldon Colliery. But, the error m
