10.12 miles. The Boldons - Downhill Lane - Follingsby Bridge - West Pastures. One vintage 1947 Pensioner, riding Specialised Vado 4 SL e-bike. Pleasant summer morning. Front camera stopped recording about halfway point, so, for the second half, you have the rear view!








3.2 miles. To rescue brother John's hanging baskets (gone on holiday, and, forgot to water them). One vintage 1947 Pensioner, riding Carrera Cross City Folding e-bike.

3.83 miles. Jarrow - Boldon. Drop car off and cycle home.   One vintage 1947 Pensioner, riding Carrera Cross City Folding e-bike.Pleasnt summer morning.










4.21 Miles. Boldon - Jarrow. Cycle to collect car.   One vintage 1947 Pensioner, riding Carrera Cross City Folding e-bike. Weather has deteriorated since this morning. Dull and threatening rain.

20.05 miles. Boldon - Whitburn - South Shields - Boldon. One vintage 1947 Pensioner, riding Specialised Vado 4 SL e-bike. Bright sunny morning. Hanging basket first-aid at John and Sharon's first. For some reason, front camera did not record, so, it is the view from the rear.

Tuesday 19th March 2024   A tentative return to Cycling and Walking, after a lay-off of several months, due to an Achilles Tendon problem. Diagnosed as "thickening of Achilles Tendon", and told, "this is an over use injury, rest and recuperation is the solution". 6.02 miles. Boldon Colliery and West Boldon. One vintage 1947 pensioner riding Carrera Cross City e-bike (just acquired, not even made the first payment to Klarna yet), the other vintage 1947 pensioner walking (briskly). No ill effects. No video.  Friday 22nd March 2024 4.49 miles. Boldon Colliery and West Boldon. Only one vintage 1947 pensioner today, so, going a little faster, but, nothing too ambitious. Dry and sunny, 12c, but, very windy.

  Sunday, 8th November 2020 15.20 miles. Boldon Colliery - Jarrow - Gateshead - Boldon Colliery.   Dull, damp, and, eventually, raining. An outing (solo) to collect "E" (St Edmunds) in my Cyclechat ABC Saints Names Challenge.   Rather disappointing that I could not also get the "G" (Gateshead) for the Cyclechat ABC Towns and Villages , there does not appear to be a place name board for Gateshead, perhaps, no-one wants to know when they enter there? Monday, 9th November 2020 15.84 miles. Boldon Colliery - Sunderland - Whitburn - Boldon Colliery. Dull and damp, but, mild at 11C. Thursday, 12th November 2020 25.52 miles. Boldon Colliery - Jarrow - Hebburn - Pelaw - Gateshead - Newcastle-upon-Tyne - North Shields - South Shields - Boldon Colliery.    Sunny, and mild 13C, but, windy. A bumper day for the Cyclechat Saints Names Challenge , "F", "G", and "H", and a "G" for Cyclechat ABC Towns and Villages.
